Fast Weight Loss With The Bible Based Diet

Who doesn't want to loss weight fast and live with a slim and healthy looking body. Especially for ladies, it is just as important as like a diamond in today's society.Unfortunately, the mass media and advertisement today are not really responsible for all the information which they have provided. Some of the methods and tips they introduce to the public are not true at all.We always heard that " you want truth?Go to the bIble".Well,it is not a joke.In fact, the Bible does talk about Truth about diet.We call this Bible based Diet. What's that?Let's take a look.

Actually , Bible based diet is not a new fad. If you are  familiar with the Old Testament, you know that very specific rules regarding clean and unclean foods were spelled out. Today, the Jewish are still following certain guidelines depending upon the time of week or year and the type of food allowed or restricted, so a diet based on biblical beliefs is always there and it is certainly not  a new concept.

Perhaps, you've heard all the talk about organic foods. and many people have taken this a step further by incorporating a belief that eating natural, organic foods is a Biblical way of taking care of our bodies. Some would take as an method for weight loss that — eating only what can be grown, in other words vegetables, fruits, and nuts.
Over-indulgence is harmful to the body and eat only what your body needs to remain is healthy. This train of thought pretty much eliminates sugars, white flours, etc., but you already knew that in order to lose weight you had to cut back on these, right? So, what types of biblical diets are available, and do they work? There are two of them:

Hallelujah Acres Diet

George Malkmus is the founder of Hallelujah Acres and its diet, also referred to as Biblical NUTRITION 101. According to this site, "Biblical Nutrition 101 provides the information needed to not only restore health, but also, in most instances, disease-proof the entire family." It involves a twelve week course that can be downloaded directly from the site for free.Well, the founder is  pastor and it is free,so why not to visit the site and check it out.

Probably the most commonly known Bible-oriented diet is the Weigh Down Diet. Its founder, Gwen Shamblin, is a registered dietician and the creator of the "Exodus Out of Egypt" weight loss programs. The Weigh Down Workshop has been in over 60 different countries. The principles around this diet involve feeding the heart in order to feed the stomach. Relying on the belief that many people resort to food for comfort (and sometimes to reduce stress), Shamblin's program encourages people to turn to God first and eat only to nourish the body…not the mind and heart. The Weigh Down Diet's method is to losing weight incorporates the following points:
  1. Learn how to feed the stomach only when it is truly hungry.
  2. Learn how to feed or nourish the longing human soul with a relationship with God.
  3. Learn how to recognize the different "hungers" and not confuse them.

How Can a Christian Living in a Non-Christian World ?

It is so easy to be a Christian because all you need is a simple faith in Christ Jesus. However ,it is not easy to follow Christ and live like a Christian in a non-Christian world.Christian will live according to what the Bible say but the world doesn't live like that way at all.Since anything can happen in a non-Christian world, then a Chrsitian will surely need more wisdom from the Bible and also the guidance of the Holy Spirit to live and shine for God's kngdom. The following tips are something that Christians need to be aware of.

1.Live with a prayer life all the times--- There are many things that Christian can't do in this world such as telling a lie or use all kinds of evil methods to solve problems like the non-believers do.When Christian face special situation in their school life or in their work place,th only teacher and coach who can help Christians to get through all the problems will be the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the only one who knows how to responds to different situation according to the Bible with wisdom. As a Christian ,we all need to sesitive to His Guidance and His voice. He is our comforter and He is our great leader who can lead us into all truth. He is the who can teach Christians how to glorify God in different situation. So Stick with the Holy Spirit in your everyday prayer life and you won't be lost.

2.Live with the Holy Bible all the times---Christian is living like sheeps enter in to a wolf gang when living in a non-Christian world. We will always prepare for persecution and rejection from our non-Christian friends and co-worker.That's the price to pay for being following Christ and we know that all these persecution is just temporary and short when compare to eternality. When the day we receive our reward from the everlasting God,all the persecution will becomes nothing. But still ,as long as we live in this world,we need to know how to act according to God's will. That's why it is important to keep God's holy Words in your life and in your mind everyday.Only when we know God's principle of a Christian living style,we can then face the challenge of everyday living in our non-Christian environment.

3.Live with a boldness to witness for Jesus all the times---Christian are more than a conquerer through Him who lead us all. Being a Christian is the most glorious thing in our life and we need not to hide ourselves from this world.Although there maybe Satanic attack or persecution from friends, employers and even family;we know that with Jesus, our commander,we will have the victory eventually. Thus, witness for God with a brave heart and kindness attitude. There is nothing more important than share Christ to others in this world. For all Christian knows that God alwyas longing for the lost soul to repent and stay away from the eternal judgement of mankind. When we think of how the eternal fire will burn a lost soul day and night,we will then understand how urgent that God wants Christian to share the gosple and be a bold witness to Christ every single second in our life.So..go,go,go....Save more lost souls for Jesus in this year!

Christian live in a non-Christian world is not easy since it is a Spiritual battle.Let's always pray for all Christian around the world and also encourage one another that Jesus had won the battle on the cross. We can never be a loser and we will fight to the end until we reach the Lord's throne and see the glory of the risen Christ. With bthe help of the Holy Spirit, you can do it and we all can do it.Amen!

Famous Bible Characters

There are many popular Bible characters all throughout the Bible, which makes for some unforgetable and interesting reading for all ages. Some of these characters will be recognized by Christians who have been reading about them since childhood like Jonah and the big fish, King David and his giant enemy , and Moses who depart the red sea with his rod. Famous people of the Bible are used for sermon because the lives of these individuals always teach a principle which is important in Christian life. Children love to hear these stories in the Sunday school classes because they are attractive and full of interesting characters.

Some of these Bible characters can be found in places other than in the scriptures. These individuals are mentioned in the secular world as well when stories in the newspapers or movies mention them, or when events happen that bring to mind events which happened during ancient times. Noah is a popular Biblical figure who is mentioned quite a bit in historical programs on public television stations, because scientists are curious about how a flood of Biblical proportions could so violently changing the topography of the Earth, and also when investigating sightings of the ark on Mount Ararat. The secular world also is known for making movies of famous people of the scriptures like a movie about the Ten Commandments, where Moses is the main character in the film.

Some other famous people of the Bible are Ruth, whose husband died. Ruth lived with her husband's family, and cared for her husband's mother Naomi, because her husband too died. Eventually Ruth remarried a cousin by the name of Boaz. This is a beautiful story of faithfulness and love. This story too has been made into a wonderful film a few decades ago. Boaz was called a kinsman-redeemer, and was a picture of Christ, redeeming for himself his bride. Ruth is in the lineage of Jesus Christ.

The Bible bookstores are full of studies about famous Bible characters. All one needs to do is visit the store and purchase the story of one's choosing. Some great Old Testament people are Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went" (Hebrews 11:8 KJV). Joseph who was sold into slavery had a many-colored coat made for him by his father. Joseph became great in Egypt and worked for many years in charge of Pharaoh's granaries. Then there are the prophets of Isaiah, Ezekiel and Samuel who were faithful to carry out God's wishes and preach to the people of sins committed and of the importance of turning to Him.

Solomon was a great King who was among those famous people of the Bible. Solomon was David's son and built the great temple, the ruins of which are still in Jerusalem. Jewish people today still pray at the one remaining wall left from the destruction of this temple. Solomon also wrote some books of the Bible such as Ecclesiastes and the Song of Solomon. Ecclesiastes is a book about life, pleasure, happiness, sorrow and concludes that serving God is the only way to live a good life.

Daniel is a great prophet mentioned in the Old Testament who prophesied of the future and even of the end of times. Many of Daniel's prophecies are mentioned in Revelation at the very end of the New Testament. The great king Nebuchadnezzar had a dream which Daniel was asked to interpret. Daniel did so, as the dream was prophetic and told about the future of Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom. Daniel was advanced in status in the kingdom due to the correct interpretation of the dream. Daniel was a most prominent of many famous Bible characters. Daniel is also famous because of the experience in the lion's den. When in the den of lions, not a hair on Daniel's head was harmed because God protected him. Daniel had great faith and demonstrated it by not bowing to idols as instructed by the ruler of the land. When the leader of the land saw the faith of Daniel in his God, the rule of that country relented of the punishment he had meted out to Daniel, and released him from the lions den.

Many other famous Bible characters can be found not only in the Old Testament, but in the New Testament as well. All of the disciples are famous, namely Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, Stephen, Paul and of course Jesus the Christ who is the reason for the scriptures. Paul, who used to persecute the Christians, eventually became a Christian himself. Paul wrote more books in the New Testament than the other disciples mentioned. Matthew was a tax collector, John, Mark and James made their living as fishermen. Jesus called them "fishers of men". Stephen was eventually stoned to death for his faith in Jesus. Just before Stephen died, he saw the Lord in heaven. James wrote a very practical book about the correct way to treat other people, and how to live out a proper Christian life. It is a wonderful book to turn to when wisdom is needed.

One of the most prominent books of the New Testament is the Revelation of John. Obviously the famous Bible character John wrote this book, which is a prophetic book that prophesies what will happen at the end of time. John wrote this book while in prison on the island of Patmos. John wrote this book after God gave him dreams and visions showing him how all things would happen at the end of days. This is one of the most interesting but exciting books in the entire Bible! You surely don’t want to miss it.

Christian Opinion on Effective Prayer According to the Bible

It is a gift from God that Christians can pray and communicate with Him. One of the questions that many Christians will ask is that: how can my prayer be effective? That means how can prayer reach the throne of God and receive an answer. In fact, there are some keys for effective prayer according to the Bible. The following 5 keys are important for prayer to be effective.

1. Pray with faith

Anyone who has attended a Sunday school class or Bible study on prayer before, will understand that faith is important to prayer. For the Bible say that "and without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him." (Heb 11:6). Faith always need to be excerised and tested by trial, otherwise our faith will always remian in an immature level. We can pray out loud in the church and procliam that we believe in God's healing but when it comes to praying for a sick person to receive complete healing right in front of us; it will be a different story. We are all afriad of what will happen if the sick person cannot be healed immediately. That is the reason why many Christians will choose to pray the most secure prayer in moment like this. Christians would probably say the following in a prayer : "Lord, heal this person if it is your will!" Prayer like this requires no faith at all and no wonder healing will never take place with prayer like this. Therefore, the first step for our effective prayer is :to believe that our prayer is already praying according to the will of God and expecting something will happen after our prayer. That's the first tip to effective prayer. In order to have our prayer answered by God,we have to believe in what we are praying about.

2. Pray according to the Bible

The Bible consists of all the great promises of God and we can be sure that God will answer prayer according to His words. For this reason, it is important to understand the promises of God by doing a search with your Bible tool. For example, we can search under the promises of God's healing on the internet and find out all the promises of healing in the Bible. Then we can pray according to all these promises and believe that God will perform healing miracles right at the moment according to His promises. You probably will ask that "what, if nothing happen and nobody gets heal ?" It is our responsibility to believe in God's word and pray according to His promises. God is the one who will responsible for the timing of fulfillment of His promises. We do our part and God does His part. There are still many things we have to admit that we don't fully understand the reasons for all the unanswered prayer. We don't give order to God with our prayer but to express our obedience to His sovereignty. However, we know that when we pray according to His promises, we can be certain that we are praying according to His will.

3. Pray with one another

You can pray alone if you want to. There is nothing wrong to have a quiet time and communicate with God alone. But when you want to express your urgency and request God to answer your prayer quickly, it is better to invite other people to pray with you together. For the Bible say that : "Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven (Matt. 18:19 )" Prayer in agreement with one another is a key for effective prayer and it is powerful according to the Bible. We are not fighting with the flesh according to Ephesians 6 in the Bible. We are fighting a spiritual battle against the evil forces. We have to win the battle together with other Christians. Therefore, be sure you will find somebody to pray with you when facing a problem.

4. Pray without ceasing

"Pray without ceasing" can be found in Thessalonians 5:17 in the Bible. It is another key for effective prayer. Ed Silvoso, who is a man of prayer and greatly used by God in the revival of Argentine once mention an illustration on prayer. He said that prayer is like a man holding a large hammer to hit a wall .The wall will remain the same until the man keep hitting at the wall to its 96 times, a crack then begins to appear. More cracks begin to show by the time the man hits the wall to its 98 times. When He hits the wall at its 99 times, the wall has cracks in everywhere. Finally, when the man hits the wall at its 100 times, the whole wall will fall down and break into pieces. That is why we should pray without ceasing. Ed Silvoso is telling the truth in prayer. Sometimes, we give up too early in our prayer, therefore we can never see any result in our prayer life. Keep this in mind, then you will be surprised by the effectiveness of your prayer in a new way.

5. Pray with fasting

Although many people have their prayer answered through fasting, it is never a way to force God to do anything according to our will. When we look at the Bible, we can understand that many Biblical characters have been benefited by fasting. Daniel, Nehemiah and Paul are just some of these examples. Of course,Jesus is the perfect example of fasting. He fasted for forty days in the wilderness to prepare Himself for the battle with Satan and Jesus won a great victory. Since Jesus overcame the three temptations according to Matthew 4 :1-11, the power of fasting is unquestionable. Fasting is a way for us to overcome our flesh and be more sensitive to God's voice. Fasting will help us to seek God's will and pray according to His will in the problems that we are facing. Therefore, fasting is another powerful key to effective prayer.

We all want to see our prayer being answered as soon as possible but in fact, prayer is a learning process. The more we pray , the more secrets of effective prayer we will discover. Why don't you start your new prayer schedule today and experience the differences for yourself?
